Ana the bartender was an amazing hostess, she attended to us often and the drinks were really good. She an awesome person I'll decently come back because of her!!!
Fell in love with the aesthetic the moment we walked in! But that's because I'm an artist and I love what they've done with the wooden mannequins installed on the wall -- such an awesome art installation and focal point of the main dining room! Me, my husband, and our friend came for dinner. I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time and when I found out they're offering Miami Spice, I figured let's finally give it a try. Y'all... Do NOT sleep on that deal! One of the best Spices we've done this year! So good, we'd come again! 2 out of 3 of us did Miami Spice which was great because our friend did not have to feel obligated to choose off the smaller menu, but hubby and I definitely got our money's worth getting the heftier dishes. For appetizers, we shared Creamy Mussels and Truffle Shiitake Croquettes off the Miami Spice menu and the Rock Shrimp from the main menu. My hubby ordered the Filet Mignon Stroganoff, which was very creamy and meaty! Do not let that bread bowl deceive you... it's the right amount of bread to filling ratio haha. For someone who sometimes eats like he has a second stomach, even he didn't finish his dish (considering we were all sharing everything anyways) and he took the rest home for his work lunch the following day (which he said was also still very good, he just added rice to his leftover). On the other hand, I had the Honey Miso Chilean Sea Bass which was DIVINE. I was dancing of happiness in my seat! Not only was it perfectly done, I was not expecting the hefty portion. Do NOT skip this during Miami Spice season! Our friend ordered the Mushroom and Short Rib Flatbread, which may seem like a sharable but honestly it's big enough for one! But granted we were blessed with yummy and filling appetizers, even she could not finish so we helped her finish (perhaps that's also why hubby didn't finish his bread bowl haha). Sharing is caring! Off the Spice menu, we got the Brioche Bread Pudding with Pistachio Cream and Kiwi along with the Basque Cheesecake. I will say, the Basque was not burnt enough but still tasted good. Brioche Bread Pudding was not what I expected in a bread pudding honestly but I still enjoyed it! It tasted more like ac crumble to me than a bread pudding. Off the regular menu, our friend ordered the Churros with Belgian Chocolate dip. We thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was! The right amount of crisp and the chocolate not overtly sweet, a great way to end our dinner! Our experience did NOT end there. One of their managers came to our table to invite us to their lounge for a complimentary cocktail and also encouraged us to tour their speakeasy omakase. So after a filling dinner, we had a brief tour of their sushi spot which was very quaint and intimate and then went over for a free drink, where we socialized some more. We were enjoying ourselves at RK for a good chunk of our evening and we would totally go back for the amazing service, delicious food and drinks, and the fun and eclectic vibes!
Super happy I got lucky to find this excellent restaurant while searching for a place close to my friend's hotel. Had some ppl visiting from TX, first time to Miami for the Taylor Swift concert, and they were supremely impressed! Its a small restaurant but the food had huge flavors! The greatness started with our hostess, who was just as excited about their concert as the girls were Our waiter, Jorge, was very knowledgeable with the menu and suggested great dishes we shared bc you know the rule: No one gets the same thing bc we're sharing everything to try!!! I only wish our bellies were bigger to be able to try more...PLUS we were shown the Speakeasy in the back for more sushi (YUM!) after we couldn't breathe anymore.. We were able to try the following and I would recommend them all: Cocktail: Miami Storm Croquettes, bacon wrapped dates, Tuna tartare, Shrimp, Naan pesto, Lomo Saltado- this steak was so tender
Excellent service, food, and cocktails! I came in because I love a good old fashioned! I sat at the intimate bar and Matias greeted me and made two amazing old fashions: spicy and truffle. I had the croquettes, risotto and bread pudding. And all delicious! Definitely a place with having a meal and cocktails where it's quaint, intimate, classy but not stuffy!
Located in a plaza with a lot of parking. I love places that you don't have to fight for parking. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. The waiter, Jorge, was amazing. We were a party of 5 and he took his time explaining dishes and drinks to us. I had a drink called the London Passion . It was really good. The drink does have seeds. I was able to deal with it but some people may not. So if it's not your thing, I'm sure they can strain it. The calamari was flavorful and crispy. The meat was tender and not chewy. Breading was flavorful. The 2 eggs any style was my main dish. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. It comes with toast which is a baguette. I also enjoyed some of the lomo saltado from my friend. Great flavor and a good sized dish if you want to share. If you do order a cappuccino, please know that it is small. More of an after dinner cappuccino. It was very good but not the size I was expecting. We had a great time and were able to sit and talk without being rushed to leave. I cant wait to go back. I have already recommended the place to several others.
Plenty of outdoor sitting. Came here for dinner with my wife and toddler. We sat right away but they took for ever to take our order. We ordered the fried artichoke and it was amazing just like it would be in Rome. Next we had the batatas bravas, nothing special. It was potato with a marinara sauce. We had the crispy rice but completely lacked in flavor. The octopus was very fresh and great texture but wasn't a fan of the flavor of the sauce. We also had the bolognese pasta which was also delicious. Would try this place out again.
Where do I begin? Well for one, I'd like to have my own room here, will work for those tasty meals. The BEST escargot outside of Paris and France ( Yes I've had several all over France). Onto the drinks, sheeeeeesh, the Reunion Mule with Hibiscus, give me bottles of that, thanks! Now the best of the best, the Stroganoff, I'm just speechless, and so was my fork and spoon, couldn't put it down. A 125.555% must stop, will visit again and again.
Reunion is located inside a cute shopping center in the North Miami/Aventura area. There is ample parking with zero fuss. Always a plus in this area! We came in for their brunch special under the Miami Spice Menu. It was a nice selection that made it a tough decision to make a choice. Honey Saganaki Cheese - halloumi style cheese baked to a golden brown in honey topped with pistachios & served w/warm homemade pita. This was delicious! It could have used a tad bit more honey but overall a hit! Gruyere Omelette Croissant - a nicely toasted sweet Croissant filled with cheese, bacon & Gruyere cheese. Melted to perfection! The croissant was on the sweeter side so it complimented the savory piece of the dish. Hass Avocado Eggs Benedict - not everyone can make a good eggs Benedict! Too runny... too cooked... wrong sauce... but not Reunion! I was so pleasantly surprised with the presentation of the dish & the taste. The Béchamel sauce was perfect! Scrambled Eggs Perico Style & Arepita - the eggs were good nothing over the top but just right! HOWEVER, those arepitas! Oh my! I sometimes can be apprehensive about arepas because if not done right they can be dry, bland, chewy! Not at Reunion Bar! These were toasty outside, savory & fluffy on the inside! If I didn't know any better I would have said they put extra cream or cheese in the dough! So happy with the first bite! Mini French Tarts & French Macarons - the macarons were okay. At least they were not stale. But the real winner that left us closing brunch on a high note was the Ferror Rocher Style French Tart!!! OH MY! If it was just a little more set vs melted it would have been the perfect NO MESS bite. Still it was delicious! We were so full we took the lemon one home! Speaking of taking home - we couldn't finish it all and had some nice leftovers for the next day! Therefore, without a doubt worth every penny for the portions served. As for a cocktail we went for the mimosas. For $12 a glass that's a bit steep but PRO TIP... check in in the Yelp app & you can get a free mimosa on the house! Overall we paid a bit over $50 w/tax & tip. Not too bad considering how full & satisfied we were!
First off, the service was amazing! My party was running late so I sat at the bar and Ana (I believe this was her name... I don't remember and this will make sense soon enough) made wonderful cocktail recommendations. She was absolutely fantastic. When my party arrived we decided to take part in the miami spice menu. By far the greatest thing here (aside from the cocktails) is the beef stroganoff. Oh my god it is so good. My eyes rolled so far back I had to go to the hospital. AMAZING. Everything else was good and my party seemed to enjoy it but the stroganoff definitely made everyone jealous. The croquetas were delightful. The pie was a little sweet in my opinion but it was good. Carpaccio was interesting but it lacked a little flair. I must admit the mushrooms were disappointing, it was just raw portobello mushrooms. It didn't really add anything to the experience. I can't stress this enough this place is getting 4 stars because of the beef stroganoff alone. I'd give it 3 otherwise. The cocktails are lit and I highly recommend sitting at the bar!
First time here. Nice place, comfortable seating. Alexander, our server, was warm and helpful. And food was yummy. I had the ceviche and then the teridito. Both were delicious. The ceviche was my fav! Mahi mahi. Delish. We shared the tostones, meh, and the croquettes which everyone liked. For entrees, we had Moroccan pastilla chicken dish (loved), a salmon sushi roll (loved), mushroom risotto (double loved), and the salmon with fire corn sauce (yum). Nice place.
